Constitution of 3 May - the attempt to save independence.

We live in times when the country's constitution seems obvious, often not even respected. However, the first constitution in Europe was created in very dramatic circumstances. It was more than just a government act, it was an attempt to repair a country that was falling into decay, an unsuccessful attempt because its innovative, even revolutionary character could not reach a leading social group focused only on personal benefits and privileges.
